Your missions

You will take a key position as Systems Engineer, with the responsibility of managing OPAL’s requirements from the needs of our clients to the implementation by our engineering team to the validation. You will join a fast evolving project and you will engage in all development activities from preliminary design to testing your physical system architecture. Your missions will include:

  • Contribute to system architecture development using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, especially Capella.
  • Build the requirements tree and manage system and subsystem requirements as well as interfaces with the spacecraft and space environment.
  • Support system-level trade-offs, performance budgets, and interface definition.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure design compliance with environmental, mission constraints, and performance objectives.
  • Adapt your approach to change and maintain requirements in an Agile development method.
  • Assist in defining test plans, including functional, environmental, and acceptance testing strategies.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to full spacecraft system integration, including propulsion, avionics, structures, and GNC.

Your profile

  • Enrolled in the last year of master’s degree or engineering school
  • You demonstrate a high academic level and knowledge of the domain of in-space propulsion and you wish to apply your skills in hands-on real world problems.
  • You have practical experience with the engineering methods mentioned, and you wish to shape the next generation of space transportation.
  • You possess a professional level of English. Knowledge of the local language will be recognised.
